64 local Lexington artists will have their studios open to the public over the weekend for self-guided tours. Open Studios Weekend will offer studio visitors the opportunity to experience these creative spaces, many of which are tucked away. The tour is focused on demystifying the artistic practice through demonstrations and presentations of works-in-progress as well as finished pieces that will be for sale. It is intended to help the public better understand the “work” component of the word “artwork” and to encourage conversations between the appreciators and the creators.
