The Christmas holiday season is always a special time in Downtown Lexington, and 2012 promises to be no exception! The following schedule lists three signature events that are sure to please the entire family! Mark your calendars now, and be sure to check this webpage for updates!

Saturday, November 24 -  Holiday Artist's Market, Holiday LIVE! Concert, and Lexington's Official Tree Lighting Ceremony will be held in the newly redesigned Triangle Park! Holiday food and drink, festival music, and the Unified Trust Company Ice Rink are the perfect backdrop as Santa Claus visits Downtown Lexington to turn the magic key and light Downtown! From 2-7, food vendors, arts and crafts vendors, and more will be setting the mood for a delightful day in Downtown. Live musical performances will begin at 2:30 with Adaryll Jordan on the saxophone. LCT's Starlight Singers, the Calvary Baptist Handbell Choir, Shandra and Jeremy Brakke, Chamber Music with Flutes, and the Lexington Singers will continue to entertain with hours of your favorite holiday carols. At 6:30pm, join Santa Claus and Mayor Gray as they flip the switch and light up Downtown Lexington. Amazing ice displays will be provided by Lexington Ice Sculpture.

Thursday, December 6 - Downtown Christmas Parade - Bring the family Downtown for the annual Christmas Parade! The parade will start at 7:30pm on Main Street, from Midland to Mill. Food and drink vendors will be located in Robert F. Stephens Courthouse Plaza, and Phoenix Park. After the parade, take a spin on the ice at the Unified Trust Company Ice Rink at Triangle Park!
