2010 Downtown Trash Bash

A young volunteer picks up trash in Cheapside ParkHelp keep Downtown Lexington clean and green!  Help clean up Downtown Lexington by volunteering for the 2010 Downtown Lexington Corporation's Earth Day Celebration.  Show your support for Downtown and the environment.  

Families, clubs, schools, businesspersons and everyone in between is invited! The first 200 registered volunteers will receive a free t-shirt and snack. Volunteers will be armed with bags and gloves to clean up Downtown streets.

The Downtown Trash Bash is an annual "Spring Cleaning" event, and the local branch of the GreatThe most unique piece of trash collected at the 2008 Trash Bash:  An old school desk carved with graffiti. American Cleanup.  All the trash collected is trash saved from being washed down the storm drains and into our local rivers.  Collected debris will be disposed of properly by our friends at the LFUCG Department of Sewers & Sanitation.

The Downtown Trash Bash is sponsored by Kentucky American Water, Walmart Neighborhood Market, Downtown Lexington Corporation, is held in conjunction with the Great American Cleanup which is coordinated locally by the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government.

volunteers at the 2008 Downtown Trash Bash!  All of the debris was
 saved from being washed into the storm drains and into the local rivers.
