Downtown Lexington Corporation Foundation

In an effort to better serve our members and the entire Downtown Lexington community, the Downtown Lexington Corporation recently formed a 501(c)(3) organization known as the DLC Foundation. By forming the DLC Foundation, there is now an entirely new way for businesses and individuals to invest in Downtown Lexington. There are four main focuses for the DLC Foundation:
1. Support for multicultural efforts
This will include Mayfest, the Classic Movie Series, Friday Night Dinner Concerts, Summer Sounds, & Kentucky Stars
2. Support for education about Downtown Lexington
Open seminars/forums and publications on the importance of public transportation, in-fill
development, public safety, and historically significant features of Downtown - all free
and available to the general public
3. Support for homeless issues
Formation (and/or participation) in a homeless task force and publications on homeless resources
4. Support for beautification of Downtown
Examples of these issues include improving public cleanliness and sanitation and the Downtown Sweepstakes event.
The DLC Foundation will assume responsibility for some of the current activities of the DLC and will also offer many new initiatives. We strongly encourage your business/organization as well as individuals to consider giving to the DLC Foundation. It is only through the generosity of the Downtown community that the DLC is able to work with and for you to make Downtown a vibrant, exciting place for everyone.
