2011 Lexington Tree Lighting Festival, Christmas Parade, and Kentucky Christmas Chorus!

The Christmas holiday season is always a special time in Downtown Lexington, and 2011 promises to be no exception! The following schedule lists three signature events that are sure to please the entire family! Mark your calendars now, and be sure to check this webpage for updates!

Friday, November 25 -  Tree Lighting Festival in the newly redesigned Triangle Park! Holiday food and drink, music, and the Unified Trust Company Ice Skating Rink are the perfect backdrop as Santa Claus visits Downtown Lexington to turn the magic key and light Downtown! The Grand Opening of the Unified Trust Company Ice Skating Rink will take place at 2:00pm in Triangle Park. From 2-7, food vendors, arts and crafts vendors, and more will be setting the mood for a delightful day in Downtown. At 6:00pm, join Santa Claus as he flips the switch and lights up Downtown Lexington. From 7-10, free carriage rides will be provided so guests can see the city lit up for the season.

Saturday, December 10 at 10:00am - Downtown Christmas Parade - Bring the family Downtown for the annual Christmas Parade! The parade will take place on Main Street, from Midland to Broadway. Food and drink vendors will be located in the Fifth Third Bank Pavilion at Cheapside Park. After the parade, take a spin on the ice at the Unified Trust Company Ice Rink at Triangle Park! Download your parade application here!

Tuesday, December 13 - Kentucky Christmas Chorus Presented by Kentucky Utilities Company - This event will be held at the Singletary Center for the Arts Concert Hall at 7:40pm. Tickets are no longer available, but the Christmas Chorus will air live on WKYT and WYMT and will be re-aired on Christmas day at noon on WKYT.
