  • Antique Typewriters - The Lexington History Museum in the Old Courthouse, Dec 2007 thru End Date TBD, Sat 10am - 4pm, Fri/Sun/Mon 12pm - 4pm, Free.  This exhibit spans from the invention of the Sholes & Glidden typewriter in 1872 to the assembly of the last IBM typewriter built in America in 2002.  859-254-0530 or www.lexingtonhistorymuseum.org

  • Artist's Attic Members Plein Air Show - Artist's Attic in Victorian Square, Oct 1 thru Oct 31, Mon - Sat, 10am - 4pm.  Painting outdoors on-site enables an artist to walk around the subject, have continual access to all the details of color, value and form and absorb the mood of the day. Commonly, artists complete a small, e.g. 8"x10", painting on site, a "study" within a matter of hours, but also use photographs and the study to complete larger paintings of the same scene in the studio.  859-254-5501 or www.artists-attic.org

  • Day of the Dead Exhibition: A Celebration of Mexico and Mexican Folk Art with Paintings by Tricia Spencer - Living Arts & Science Center, Oct 20 - Nov 7, Free. This exhibition will feature original Mexican folk art collected by Lexington artist Tricia Spencer as well as her own paintings inspired by her Mexican travel.
