Breaking Tradition, Forging Ahead: WPA Prints from the Collection - UK Art Museum, May 10 thru Sep 15, Free. Museum Hours: Tuesday – Sunday: 12 to 5 pm and Friday: 12 to 8 pm. The exhibition is a student-organized project under the direction of the museum staff and the instructor of the Museum Studies class. The exhibit asks its audience: "What if you were free to express yourself? In the 1930s, the federal government's Works Progress Administration (WPA) helped put America back to work during the Great Depression. Included in this effort were American artists who were provided a living wage in exchange for works of art. Adult Fall Volleyball Sign-Ups - LFUCG Parks & Recs Athletics Office. Returning teams: 1st - 8th, new teams : 11th - 15th. The cost to participate is $200 per team. Registration will be by teams only and are on a first-come, first-serve basis. Teams will a play a 9-game schedule followed by a post season tournament. All matches will be played on Sunday afternoons at the Castlewood Community Center, 201 Castlewood Drive. Kiddie Kapers Registration for Returning & New Students - Picadome, 5:30pm - 7:30pm. Online Registration: begins 12pm Aug 25 thru 4:30pm on Aug. 27. Kiddie Kapers incorporates 20 weeks of dance instruction for youth ages 3 - 15 beginning in mid-September and concludes with a spring recital in April. Classes offered include ballet, tap, jazz, hip-hop and cheer dance. The cost is $175 and includes a costume for the spring recital. A limited number of scholarships are available upon request.
